Depart from the Madrès Plateau towards the Marrane Pass and then follow the ridges to the Madrès Peak. Descend along the same route or via Neuf Fonds and Clottes de Madrès, but attention, it is not signposted, follow the cattle trails and keep track of where you are by the hut on the plateau.

From Roquefort-de-Sault, take the D17, past Le Bousquet, to the Garabeil Pass and take the path on the left. Climb up to the Madrès Plateau. Carry an IGN map with you.
Depart from the shepherd's hut on the Madrès Plateau and climb up towards the Marrane Pass. Follow the Tour of Capcir path to the Madrès Peak. Take the same path back or a non-signposted variant via Clottes de Madrès and Neufs Fonds.
