The Gralet is a sheepfold surrounded by pastures which is also converted into a refuge. The view of the Mont-Blanc massif and the Valserine valley is remarkable.Type of route: PR - Marking: white and red - yellow - Topo-guide: Ain on foot - IGN map at 25 000th No. 3329 - Dogs Prohibited; impractical route during snow (sometimes until early June); nature reserve of the Haute Chaîne du Jura: fauna and flora to respect imperatively) - 1) From the Pré-Bouillet refuge (1045 m), go up to the West. Cut the forest road, then by a steep path, reach the Garda hut. 2) Continue the climb, cut the road a second time, then reach a grassy combe (panels). Cross it (West) towards Menthières and arrive in front of a wooden cabin. 3) Continue for 100 m, then go north and gain, by the ridge, the cottage Poutouille (shelter summary). 4) Continue north-east and reach a snare. 5) Continue straight to the Gralet chalet (refuge). 6) Retrace your steps. 5) Take the Malatrait track to the left until you reach the end. 7) Go down the forest road for 200 m, then take the transversal forest road of Pays-de-Gex, towards the South, for 600 m. 8) At the junction, go down to the left and find the refuge of Pré-Bouillet.
