Gurwant Heath Trail - Campénéac

Depart from the town of Campénéac, latitude 47.9948410 (N 47° 59’ 41”), longitude -2.2662870 (W 2° 15’ 59”)

• Viviane's home or "druid's tomb" (2500 years BC)

• Megalithic monument in the shape of a chest, this burial contained interesting material, attesting to the existence of agriculture in the region of Paimpont around 1200 BC. JC.

• The chapel Saint-Jean (Prop. Private) and the foot of Anon

• Placed under the patronage of Saint-Jean Baptiste, this private property housed the statues of Saint-Cornely (patron saint of horned animals in Brittany) and Sainte-Catherine. Further, a curious boulder: the foot of Anon. An owner of Trécesson, at the time of "Gil Blas", having just lost all his goods at the game in the salons of Versailles, would have bet this rock of last resort by qualifying it as "Manoir du Pied d'Anon". He kept on winning and found everything he had lost...

• The chapel Saint-Jean (Prop. Privée) and the foot of Anon: placed under the name of Saint-Jean Baptiste, it sheltered the statues of Saint-Cornely (boss of the cattle with horns in Brittany) and Sainte-Catherine. Further, a curious boulder: the foot of Anon. • Trécesson Castle

• Built at the end of the 15th century by Jean de Trécesson, Constable of Brittany, it keeps the tragic memory of this bride, removed from her carriage by two masked gentlemen and buried alive in the garden of the castle.

• The tomb of the giant

• The excavation of this megalithic monument in 1982 revealed a rigging structure around the tomb, measuring nearly 4m long, 1m wide and 1m high. This tomb was built from 3 menhirs that stood in this place around 2200 BC. Today are visible the walls and the 3rd menhir lying 8m away. Today's tomb dates from the Bronze Age (around 1500 BC).
