From Grancey-le-Château, go up the street along the ramparts until you reach the Place des Halles. Go past the halls and take the small street, to turn right on the road to Burgundy. Follow this road and pass in front of the campsite. At the intersection with the D959, follow this road on the left before turning left to Neuvelle-lès-Grancey. In Neuvelle, take right immediately the path of Poinsenot. At the junction with the D959 continue straight on the C1. At the junction of the two C1, continue straight towards Poinson. Cross the village of Poinson-lès-Grancey following the D118 and continue on this road to Santenoge. In Santenoge, turn right onto the D150 towards Auberive. At junction with C3, take this road on the right to Vivey. At the Vivey church, follow the C3 on the left towards Grancey-le-Château. Then follow on the right the D129 always in the same direction. At the junction with the D289, turn left onto this road that will take you to Chalmessin. In Chalmessin, cross the village and follow the D289A to Villemervry. Grancey-le-Château
In the Middle Ages, Grancey-le-Château was an important stronghold of Burgundy and was a bone of contention between the Kingdom of France and the Duchy of Burgundy. In August 1435, Grancey falls into the hands of the Burgundians who dismantle the fortress. The current castle was built between 1705 and 1725 on the site of the medieval castle. Built after the castle of
Versailles, he is nicknamed "the little Versailles of Burgundy".
The God-of-Mercy in Santenoge
The God-of-Mercy is a statue, located in a niche, at the entrance of the village. She represents Christ sitting, wrists bound and crowned with thorns about the natural size of a small man. This monument was erected to the devotion of Jean Labbé, stonemason of the village, in front of his house around 1830. The statue, older, dates from the sixteenth century and was hidden in the attic of the neighboring house, perhaps under the Revolution.
 Vivey
Laundry completely restored in 1882 by the municipality. It consists of a narrow wash basin surmounted by a gable farm. The solid pieces of the frame rest on stone crows caught in the wall.
Cross located at the bedside of the church and inscribed on the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments on June 16, 1926.
Another place: La Croix au Loup: Erected 800 m from the village, it recalls the fight on 21 December 1811 between a rabid beast and Jean-Christophe Leaulté, former lord and mayor of Vivey who died 18 days later.
The Chalmessin Nature Reserve
Created in 1993, the Chalmessin Nature Reserve is a natural treasure in the middle of the woods. Its 24 hectares, managed by the Conservatory of Natural Spaces of Champagne-Ardenne, shelter one of the most remarkable tufous marshes of the plateau of Langres. Since the last glaciation 8,000 years ago, very special conditions have allowed this narrow valley to preserve a typical mountain fauna and flora. Discovery trail with free access all year round or guided tour on request in season.
The ZNIEFF constituted by the Chalmessin nature reserve and the Combe Quemaulles is very typical of the Langres plateau and is characterized by the richness of its flora and fauna (with protected species, endangered and rare species). The relief is very accentuated, the steep slopes oriented essentially to the north and south favor particular microclimates, with beautiful oppositions of slopes. The numerous springs situated towards the bottom and the middle of the valley are considered as being the principal sources of the Tille; charged with dissolved calcium carbonate, they are responsible for the deposits of tuff and as such are at the origin of the formation of the marsh.
