The Bon Abri dune massif contains a wide range of ecologically diverse habitats. The trail goes behind the dunes in order to prevent them from being trampled. From this trail, you can see the ponds, which can be home to up to seven amphibian species!

The trail then leads you to Grandville beach. Before walking along the Gouessant, stop for a moment to admire the Chapel of St. Maurice on the opposite bank, perched on a rocky peak.

Apart from the dune part, the trail is somewhat uneven.

Itinerary

Follow the Bon Abri dune trails.

As you go along, you will notice the sudden change in the landscape, with its steep-sided valley and wooded hills.

The site of Crémur, an old dry harbour in Gallo-Roman times, is an ideal place for a well-deserved rest.

The walk then continues with a look at the hydroelectric plant and its impressive dam, at the Rolland Bridge.

Between the two sites, the brackish waters are home to eels, which egrets are particularly fond of.

Go back along the same trail.
