From the village square, turn right towards Wormsa. Continue to the Wormsa Chalets.
Take the GR5 long-distance hiking trail just behind the inn and the chalets. Follow the "lac du Fischboedlé" signposting, as well as the Club Vosgien signposting: red rectangle.
At the start of the walk, you will have a choice of two different itineraries, either through the Wormsa valley, or along the François path.
The first will offer you a view over Wormsa valley, firstly along a flat path leading to the village of Mittlach, including a visit to the Wooden Bear, and then a gradually steeper climb to Fischboedlé Lake. This first path is more technical and difficult.
The second passes through more natural spaces along a stone path which crosses wooden footbridges and runs past the Wormsa waterfalls, through the forest to François path 15 mins further on which leads directly to Fischboedlé Lake.
You can return along the same route or take the other path.
