At the confluence of the Lot and the Truyère - Entraygues (which means "between the waters", its inhabitants: "the Entrayols" at 219m altitude, lies at the confluence of the Lot and the Truyère and would have been founded in the middle of the 10th century. The first ancient text reporting INTER AGUAS is 1097. It should be noted that already in Roman times, the village represented a strategic position at the crossroads of the communication routes and at the intersection of the Auvergne and Lot Valley roads.
