Bruz: The Heights of the Boel

Depart from the town of Bruz, latitude 47.9968800 (N 47° 59’ 49”), longitude -1.7518400 (W 1° 45’ 7”)

• Departure Mill of the Boel

• Departure at the foot of the SNCF footbridge overlooking the Vilaine, on the left bank.

• Boel Mill

• Take the GR39 leading to the cliff top overlooking the Boel Mill to a promontory offering a beautiful panorama of the Vilaine and the surrounding countryside.

• St. John's Wood

• Continue through the woods of Saint John until reaching the fence bordering the DGA (General Directorate of Armament) along it and then leave it at the level of the main buildings to take in front of a forest alley.

• The Kitten Pastry

• Walk through this alley to its outlet on a tarmac lane. Take it on the right, follow the hamlet of The Mouth and engage in an old cart line leading up to the D39, connecting Laillé to Guichen.

• The Valleys

• Follow the D39 for about 500 metres towards Guichen; From the bridge over the Vilaine crossed, join by a small path the tow that will be followed upstream to the SNCF bridge after passing the lock of the Boel.
