From Samoëns, follow signs to "Col de Joux Plane" as far as the hamlet of "la Combe Emeru", 500 metres before the hamlet, park on the side of the road at a wide path on your right.

Itinerary

Follow the wide stone path to a crossroads. Take the path on the left leading to the Mouchallaz chalets.

Shortly before them, leave the path along a narrow trail which quickly enters a pine forest.

On the way out of the forest, you will see the majestic and dazzling silhouette of Mont Blanc.

The path climbs steadily and soon offers a second beautiful view: the north face of the Criou, the Folly refuge, the Chambres valley, Pointe Rousse and Avoudrues standing above the small Folly glacier.

Slightly further on, you will see the Bostan chalets, the Bosan-Tornay refuge and the Bostan Pass.

The fourth view you will discover is over the Golèse valley and mountain pass. You will see the path winding through the peaceful pastures up to the pass. Here, the path levels slightly and heads westwards to the Bourgeoise ridge, which you should follow to the cross.

From this summit, you will enjoy a unique 360° view.

Descend along the ridge above the steep gully of the "Combe Emeru" with Mont Blanc as a backdrop. You will come across a first hairpin bend, then a second, before continuing the descent back down to where you started.
