From Celliers, park at the car park near the chapel and follow the signposts for the Chemin des Gardes. You will find this signposting above the path that starts right next to the car park.
Depart from Celliers, above the car park next to a pond and take the path that climbs up into the forest and gradually arrives at the small road to the Logis des Fées refuge (about a 1 hour climb). After a few hours of walking (about 2½ hours), you will arrive at the Logis des Fées refuge; before reaching the refuge, pass the RTM chalet - restoration of mountain lands - (ONF) inaugurated by Haroun Tazieff.
From the Logis des Fées refuge, follow the alpine trail and signposting towards Arpettaz Lake (30 mins) from the refuge.
Return via the same route or via the small road that leads down from the refuge to the village of Celliers. Attention, you will be crossing alpine pastures where you will find large flocks of sheep guarded by dogs in order to protect them from wolf attacks. Do not attempt to approach these dogs and allow them to pass or give them a wide berth.
