Very popular all over France, Vals water is a brand of mineral water from Ardèche. Its spring is in Vals-les-Bains, just a few kilometres from the town of Aubenas, and has been in use since 1602.

Legend has it that the spring was found by a fisherman named Martin, who stopped on the banks of the Volane to rest a while. He saw the water bubbling in a strange way, which caught his attention: this was the spring.

At the Vals-les-Bains Thermal Baths, you can discover all the benefits of this water full of bicarbonates and sodium, which is good for the digestion. Several springs provide Vals water, offering water with varying degrees of mineralisation. There are six springs whose water is available on prescription only, such as the Désirée, the Rigolette or the Camuse. However, you can drink freely from the Saint-Jean and enjoy its many benefits.
