Renowned throughout France, Loué poultry is outdoor-reared in the wooded countryside of Maine, and fed with cereals and other vegetable material. It is the result of a long tradition of poultry farming in this area and today has PGI status as well as a Red Label, both guarantees of high-quality produce. After a great increase in production in the 19th century, mainly due to the Envoi Fair, Loué poultry farming took off again in 1958.

White, yellow and black free-range chickens, white and yellow free-range capons, free-range guinea fowl capons, free-range turkeys, free-range geese, free-range white and yellow spring chickens, free-range ducklings, free-range guinea fowl and also Loué eggs all have the Red Label stamp of quality.

This delicious poultry is found in the most prestigious restaurants, as chefs particularly like its tender, firm meat…

At the beginning of June, this famous poultry has a special place of honour at the Loué Poultry Festival. There is also a range of entertainment and an outdoor jumble sale.
