A speciality of the Chenel family, which started producing it in 1924, the Liverdun-madeleine is a little cake in the shape of a rounded scallop, with a nice soft, paleyellow centre. The recipes traditionally contain fresh eggs, butter, flour, sugar, milk, raising agent, salt and lemon essence. Produced in a traditional way, Liverdunmadeleines, which have no additives, preservatives or colourings, are a real treat.
They can be eaten at any time of the day, whether for breakfast, as a dessert or with a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate, for those who really have a sweet tooth!
