Produced in Lozère and Gard, on the unspoilt territory of the Cévennes massif, Cévennes honey is famous for its gustative qualities and intense aromas, whether it comes from chestnut trees, heather or pines. Cévennes honey comes in creamed, liquid or crystallised form and is rich in oligo-elements. It can be enjoyed on its own, on buttered toast, or to sweeten herbal tea, and can also be used in cooking, when making gingerbread or sweet-and-sour dishes for example.
Several apiaries in the Cévennes offer guided tours where you can learn about the different stages of the honey-making process, and taste their apicultural products.
