Le Prieuré

Fenomenale ontvangst door de vriendelijke gastvrouw. Een rustgevende stop onderweg naar de bergen.

Heel bijzondere ervaring te gast te zijn in een stokoude boerderij die nog in bedrijf is, op een wat rommelige wijze. Gastvrije gastvrouw die niets te veel is, goed Engels spreekt, privé en gasten loopt een beetje door elkaar. Uniek om een keer mee te maken.

Een hele belevenis in zo'n omgeving, u voelt zich in de Middeleeuwen. Zeer goeie kamer in een zeer oude originele bouwstijl maar met een prachtig een badkamer. Zeker aan te bevelen bij mensen die houden van nostalgie.

Het was er heel rustig, zeer vriendelijk, het ontbijt mocht voor ons beter confituur + confituur+ confituur+ confituur.

Mooie rustgevende omgeving.

Prachtige, rustige omgeving. Heel vriendelijke ontvangst en lekker ontbijt met in huis bereide produkten (brood, jam, pannekoeken). Ontspannende, familiale sfeer.

We loved our stay. The working farm was delightful, the rooms spacious and beds very comfortable. A place well situated for visits to Troyes, foret d'0rient, and the surrounding towns in the Albe champagne region. What made the visit 6 stars was the kindness, humor, and generosity of the proprieter, Sylvie! She is a gem and makes great breakfast crepes!

This was a stay on a farm surrounded by historic buildings and the welcome by Sylvie Bertellin was wonderful..

We had a great stay and were given a warm welcome. We have two young children (6 & 8), they were made welcome and the pool outside is actually covered which made it better for the children, We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider staying again in the future.

Stayed in the old Pigonniere... Fascinating building, as are all the Prieure buildings. Everything was very comfortable, if a bit quirky and tatty. Lovely wet-room type shower. There is a swimming pool but it has a seemingly low, fixed plastic domed roof which doesnt make it look very inviting. Which is a shame. Breakfast was ok... If a bit heavy on the carbs... Pancakes, cereals, bread. Mme Berthelin is a welcoming, friendly proprietor.

We enjoyed our short stay in this slightly run down farmyard. We particularly liked the ducks and chickens running around, and the interesting buildings. Local walking was easy and the local restaurant was a ten minute walk over the river (good food, a bit pricey and very variable service) as is the baker and bar. Would happily go back.

An excellent B&B, within a good distance of main A roads. Would recommend, and was excellent for a one night stopover..

This lovely old farmhouse has lots of character - huge rooms with beds to match. Located in a pretty village that straddles the Seine. Sylvie was very welcoming and helpful - she had copies of menus for local brasseries and restaurants and arranged booking. Great selection of homemade jams/preserves at breakfast. Good value for money. We were returning from Provence and stayed here one night on our way back to Cambridge. We would certainly visit again. Thank you Sylvie and Gilles.

Le Prieure provides an enjoyable place to stay. We had a lovely, large room with plenty of character. The owners will direct you to local restaurants for an enjoyable evein meal. Breakfast was enjoyable and it was interesting talking to Gilles who speaks English very well.

Found this little gem on-line about six weeks before travelling to Switzerland - we needed a one night stop-over for our return journey. Following a couple of emails, a booking was confirmed. We arrived, later than planned, and were met by Sylvie a most amiable proprietor, who had a good command of english. She showed us to d'Antan, a good-sized family room on the first floor - a lovely French antique double bed and matching wardrobe/armoire (and second double even though there was only the two of us!) She took great pride in pointing out the ensuite was in the other cupboard. The room overlooked the lovely village square to one side and the garden/courtyard to the other. Very quiet location - take time to wander around the village and down to the River Seine which runs past at the entrance to the village. Communal breakfast - usual fare of bread, crepes, jams... Couldn't fault the accomodation or Sylvie and all this for just 48 € for the room which included breakfast. There is a pool on the other side of the building which we never used.

J'ai découvert cette chambre d'hôte par hasard et très agréablement surprise. Accueil très chaleureux, Sylvie est vraiment aux petits soins pour nous renseigner sur les activités alentours et d'une manière générale très accueillante. Cadre très agréable. La piscine est un vrai plus. Il y a une cuisine commune dehors mais couverte qui rend le lieu très convivial en plus de la piscine, on peut discuter avec les autres clients. Confitures maison top, surtout la rhubarbe.

Endroit insolite. Très bon accueil.

Accueil comme on n'en voit nul part ailleurs. Gentillesse de nos hôtes. Literie d'exception - Petit déjeuner excellent et copieux - La piscine quand la canicule règne - La possibilité de ramener de vrais légumes.

Venus assister à un mariage au château de Vaux, nous avons passé deux nuits au Prieuré, dans un cadre campagnard et paisible. C'est surtout l'accueil de notre jeune hôte qui nous a séduits : il nous a raconté de façon touchante l'histoire du Prieuré, repris, restauré et entretenu par sa famille depuis plusieurs générations, les travaux effectués et toujours en cours, la vie quotidienne. Nous avons pu apprécier ses qualités d'accueil, son envie de partager, son ardeur au travail, et sommes revenus avec de succulents légumes bio. Nous sommes enchantés d'avoir rencontré un jeune si travailleur, si dynamique, si enthousiaste devant la vie et si ouvert aux autres.

Accueil chaleureux, site exceptionnel, dans un lieu historique, convivial, avec les animaux, belle chambre, bon petit dej, avec plein de bonnes choses faites maison. A recommander. Joss.

Nous sommes venus dans le cadre d' un coffret Wonderbox et pour une première en chambre d' hôtes nous avons été conquis. L ' accueil est excellent et notre hôte aux petits soins pour nous conseiller des visites dans la région. Au petit déjeuner nous nous sommes régalés avec les produits faits maison ou de la région et nous avons beaucoup apprécié les explications du fils sur l ' histoire du prieuré et leurs activités.

Personnes très accueillantes, nous avons passés un très bon séjour très bien pour se déconnecter de ville, nous reviendrons certainement pour un séjour plus long - Merciiiiiii à vous.

Le décor est impressionnant, le cadre vrai puisque inclus dans la propriété agricole. Environnement agréable, sujet à découvertes. Proximité de Troyes.

Un weekend super merci beaucoup à toute la famille (Gilles et Sylvie ainsi que leur fils. Si je devais le refaire mais sans hésitation je partirai de suite. Une ferme superbe, un accueil génial, petit déjeuner mémorable. Un grand merci

Magnifique bâtisse dans un village authentique. Un accueil chaleureux par des personnes simples et formidables qui nous ont reçus "comme à la maison ". Nous qui n'aimons pas la ville, avons apprécié de nous promener dans cette ferme au milieu de tous ces animaux en liberté et d'entendre le chant du coq au matin ! Les chambres sont propres et confortables, avec ce qu'il faut. Pour les personnes qui aiment la campagne, la simplicité et l'authenticité des gents nous leurs recommandons cet endroit. Merci à Sylvie pour ces 2 nuits passées "en prison " et surtout à Gilles pour ses crêpes au sirop d'érables, les garçons en parlent encore !!! Merci pour tout, et surement à une prochaine fois ! Bonne continuation et surtout ne changez pas !!!
