From first arrival, this was a stress-free, friendly, enjoyable stay. Check-in was straightforward, very generous pitch size, right next to one of the two amenity blocks. There is direct access to the private beach from the campsite, although for those less sure on their feet you can go through a gate at the south side of camp, down a ramp (best access for a canoe too) then back along the riverbank to the private beach. Points worth noting: EHU points are not immediately obvious, may be worth carrying an extra length of hook-up cable if you are used to a box every 2nd pitch and it's 6 amp, so beware using hairdryers, kettles, microwave or electric grill as you will trip the supply. I believe you can pay extra to upgrade to 10 amp. For those even modestly physically fit a walk /hike to Rocher du Capluc is not to be missed. Try http://www.alltrails.com for info. It's only 190 m of ascent, although the last 15-20 are by iron ladders affixed to the rock to get to the Cross on the summit, there is a path all the way round the rock below the summit though if you prefer not to do the last bit. There is a small supermarket (Spar) across the bridge in Le Rozier for supplies and some good places to eat. There is also a Pizzeria just south of the site. Bread and pastries can be ordered from Reception the night before and picked up at 0900 the following morning. All-in-all, a great site, our only regret was that we had not booked longer than the 6 days we spent here… We will definitely return!
