La Colombière du Château is a beautiful place to stay located in fantastic Provencal scenery - lavender fields leading to a small, picturesque lake within a short hike or a quick drive. We thoroughly enjoyed Tom and Barbara's warm and generous hospitality. We got very helpful and detailed information regarding traveling in the area. Since both of them speak German, French and English fluently (maybe a few more languages), communication is easy and pleasant. We had the pleasure of joining a dinner that is available for the guests (for a very reasonable fee). The food was delicious cooked and baked by Barbara, and the company was delightful. The rooms are specious, pleasantly decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast offers a wonderful fresh, homemade variety and fabulous coffee. We loved both the place and the hospitality. Highly recommend.

Es ist ein Kleinod im Lavendelfeld. Seit Barbara und Tom dieses wunderschöne Table d'hotes übernommen haben, bin ich immer wieder dort zu Gast, um mich von ihrer Gastfreundschaft verwöhnen zu lassen. Es ist klein aber fein und mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet und geführt. Die Zimmer sind slke individuell ausgestattet und jedes auf seine Art schön und besonders. Zu jedem Zimmer gehört eine kleine Terrasse oder ein Plätzchen im Garten. An mehreren Abenden kann man in den Genuss von Barbaras hervorragenden Drei-Gänge-Menüs kommen. Absolut empfehlenswert 💙 Tom hat immer wieder gute Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Gegend und einen guten Wein für die Gäste. Es ist sehr ruhig in einer traumhaften Gegend mit vielen Möglichkeiten. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Tom und Barbara sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Ich habe mich von der ersten Sekunde absolut wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist ein Traum, sehr gepflegt und man entdeckt täglich neue liebevoll arrangierte Details. Zu jedem Ausflug gibt es gute Tipps. In der Umgebung gibt es unheimlich viel zu sehen und zu erleben. Das Essen ist herrlich. Alles selbst gemacht und mit liebe zubereitet und angerichtet. Absolut empfehlenswert! Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Very warm welcome in a peaceful and serene place. Thomas and Barbara are attentive, helpful and discreet. The service and meals are of high quality and the location is ideal for outdoor activities.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön - Barbara und Tom sind zwei wundervolle Gastgeber - Die Menüabende waren sensationell. Zum schwimmen im Verdon 5 Minuten mit dem Auto. Eine traumhafte Gegend.

The house setting is perfect! Room and amenities very comfortable. Tom is super welcoming and helpful. We loved the breakfast choices including all the homemade goodies by Barbara. We went during the lavender bloom season and were very surprised to find ourselves completely surrounded by beautiful fields of lavender. Moustiers St. Marie and the Verdon Gorge are very nearby, as well as other lovely villages and towns. We sincerely hope to go back.

If you ask, I would say there's nowhere better than staying here in this Chateau. Waking up to the chirping of birds and sleeping under starry nights are the biggest bonus for a person who lives in the city her whole life. The homemade breakfast was fantastic which shouldn't be missed. The room is cozy, bed is comfy and bathroom is squeaky clean. All the essential necessities are provided. Both the hosts are very friendly and welcoming.

We really enjoyed our stay at this family-run guest house. We came late evening and were welcomed with warm and kind hospitality of Tom and Barbara. The house is located in authentic Provence village, surrounded by green gardens. Rooms are well decorated, cozy and spacious at the same time. This place has some charm that made us extremely happy during our stay. I would recommend everyone 3 course dinner prepared by owners, it was very delicious and tasty! What was even better - the atmosphere of friendliness and evening talks with guests and owners. By occasion I was celebrating my birthday on the day of our arrival. That was a special birthday that I will recall every time I have it. I will definitely come again! All the best to Tom&Barbara.

Tom and Barbara who owns La Colombiere, have suceeded in making the base for a perfect holiday. Rooms, garden, food are in a extraordinary high quality level. It is so beautifull everywhere at the property. Breakfast and dinner are just super. The owners themselves are making you feel welcome in a warm way. The are very serviceminded and knows a lot about the wonderfull area in Verdon. Our best stay ever !

We stayed 3 nights. Tom and Barbara are just great. We got a great room. Almost every night they cook a 3 course-meal. I would recommend you to eat with them and the other guests. Food is just great and we had many great conversations around the table. We also got really good advices what to do in the area, way better than all the online guides.. Know the locals is the key to a great vacation! Stay here if you are in the area ok?!

Very relaxing, quiet, beautiful rooms, wonderful relaxing nicely equipped courtyard and sun terrace, very affectionate, friendly, sympathetic, helpful managers, great food, great holiday.

The person, who prefers hotel punkers and constant animation is wrong here! But who wants to dive into the Provence and get to know the way of life there is completely right in the Hotel La Colombiere. It is not a standard hotel, more a Chambres d'hotel – a typical French way of renting witch is best comparable with the Bed and Breakfast system in England. We ate in a dream come true kitchen together with the other international guests and the hosts Tom and Barbara on one table. The host Barbara cooked magnificent. For breakfast there was a lot of self-made things like bread, jam, honey, brioche or a traditional kind of cereal from the area. La Colombiere has five rooms and a holiday apartment. The rooms in the parterre have a deck with sitting accommodations, which are also everywhere on the areal. The rooms on the first floor have a balcony. Every single room is decorated lovely and differently. La Colombiere is located in a quiet area right next to a castle, a lavender willow and olive trees. From there you can go biking, running, hiking, drive to the Verdon Gorge, where u can rent a boat or a canoe or you can visit one of the many markets. Most of the visitors are welcome in their mother tongue because Tom speaks German, English, French and Spanish. We really enjoyed our vacation at the Hotel La Colombiere and constantly had the feeling to be a guest at some really good friends. It is a place to come down. We already miss this place and our great and amazing hosts Tom and Barbara!

We had an amazing week at La Colombiere du Chateau. The house and gardens are very beautiful and tidy. The room was comfortable and clean. The homemade food (breakfast and dinner) was extremely tasty. We really felt at home. The place itself is a piece of paradise, nature and peace all around you, and the greatness of the hosts made the experience perfect and unforgettable. We highly recommend to stay in the really cozy rooms of the lovely La Colombiere du Chateau.

I and my wife stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed a lot. The house is really lovely and Barbara is an excellent chef. There are also lavenders 3 minutes away by foot from the house. We enjoyed every breakfast and one wonderful dinner. The dinner was really great because we were with Thomas, barbara and a couple from Switzerland. I think the dinner with Thomas and Barbara is a mandatory one rather than one of the options you have for wonderful memory in Provence. Most of all I really appreciate Thomas' passion to help people. I had problem with my rentcar and needed a replacement as a new car. And Thomas spent 3 hours to help me on the phone! If there weren't Thomas help I would have distrupted my trip totally! Thank God for sending me Thomas...

La Colombiere is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The hosts Tom & Barbara are very welcoming and are helpful with places to visit. Barbara is a superb cook and the food is delicious. There is covered parking for motorcyclists and a delightful shaded rest area to relax in. I highly recommend this B&B and the surrounding area is stunning.

Had a great time at Colombiere du Chateau, very friendly and welcoming and accommodation excellent. Enjoyed my stay and only wish I had booked longer! Tom and Barbara were really great hosts. Highly recommend a stay with them if you want to chill out.

A beautiful place in the middle of nowhere... So I thought!!! But we fell in love with the place! Tom & Barbara were the nicest & most hospitable hosts! Delicious breakfast practically all home-made by Barbara. Tom gave us several suggestions for visiting the area & we were ecstatic to see the wonderful 'Nature' all around us. Unfortunately we only spent one night - all booked... So next time I'll definitely get a head start when booking! Can't wait to go back! Thanks so much Torm & Barbara for making me feel really good!

Run by a swiss couple, Barbara and Thomas, this really nice place is a gem in the gorges du verdon surrounding! They are very helpful, the food was lovely, the rooms were clean, ... All you need for a lovely stay in this region!! We want to recommend it to everyone going to that region!!

We stayed overnight in The 'Colombiere du chateau', on or week-end trip around the Verdon. Thom & Barbara are very kind people, we had a warm welcome. The room is confortable, large, well designed. The breakfast was great, I especially liked the home-cooked bread and the home-made marmelades. We also had dinner : Barbara cooked a delicious meal, includng apetizer, starter, main dish, wine, cheese, nice dessert and tea/coffee ! It was realy good value.

This was our first time in the south of France. We loved the region and we loved la Colombiere du Chateau. What an amazing place!. The rooms are spacious with all the luxury one can think of. Nice little bathroom, everything spotlessly clean, and comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast is served and the whole atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The hosts are the most likable people you can find and made our stay unforgettable. There is heaps to do and the surroundings are beautiful. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Last month, we had the pleasure, staying 3 nights being looked after by the perfect hosts Tom and Barbara! Their breakfasts, including different homemade preserves and bread loaves, and dinners, made from ingredients from their garden and local producers, were excellent. The meals were cooked to perfection! We couldn't resist Barbara's delicious homemade fig torte. During the day, we could easily access the nearby hiking trails; with Tom's advice and maps found it easy to get round. La Colombiere du Chateau is a close drive to the Gorges du Verdon and nearby town of Riez. The cleanliness of our room/shower was to Swiss Perfection - everything was perfectly clean! Plenty of space for luggage and daylight in the room. Note: If you choose a room on the ground floor, you will also have a terrace to enjoy outside your room. At the end of the day, it was wonderful to sit and look out over the fields and mountains enjoying a drink! We definitely will come back to Tom and Barbara “The Good's” in the near future for another stay!
