Camping Municipal Les Rives de Marne

We stayed on this lovely site pitched right by the river for 4 nights. The tranquility was wonderful. The warden was extremely helpful. I think this was very new but we were able to order delicious bread for the next morning from his new shop/cafe very close by. The cycle path by the canal is easy and takes you to beautiful villages and Chaumont town but there is a chance to see so much wildlife on the way. I highly recommend this site.

It was our third visit to the site and everything was just as we wanted. The site was quieter than it has been on our previous trips due to travel restrictions and covid concerns. The site is small and quiet anyway (which is why we like it). The facilities are simple but well looked after (don't expect a huge range!). We stayed on plot 28 right on the banks of the Marne next to the willow tree. The only possible concern you might have there is ducks quacking in the morning and the noise of the river flowing over the weir. The campsite is located directly on the River Marne and has access to the canal towpath for easy cycle rides (to get breakfast and bread if needed). Either side of the valley leads to many different walks and rides. Really quiet and beautiful countryside. Just what we needed.

We returned to the campsite for a second time last week. It was just a quiet and peaceful as we remembered. It is a perfect site to send a relaxing week there pitches are of a good size and the facilities are first class (but limited to toilets and washing up block and a small communal space with free wifi and coffee making). There is also communal fridge freezer in the block to keep things cool. The site is right next to the river and you can go to sleep at night listening to the water. During the day you can fish and perhaps catch your dinner? The only negative is that here are no shops less than 5 km away - but the boulangerie at Bologne is an easy 9 km ride down the the side of the canal. So pretty much perfect for a get away from it all trip.

The site is an a perfect location with pitches on the bank of the river Marne. It is set in a very quiet village with direct access to the canal tow path and is well placed for exploring the local region. The pitches are well maintained and the facilities are very clean and modern. The site has no shop but supplies can be found and local villages within a 10 minute drive (or 20-30 minute cycle ride). The site manager was very welcoming and helpful and attentive to the needs of the campers. A perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

We had a lovely riverside pitch. We stayed here last year so this was our second visit. The shower block is clean and tidy and there are additional washing up facilities, including a washing machine/tumble dryer for visitors' use. We will definitely come back again next year. The other visitors were all friendly and seem to come back year after year. I would recommend the campsite as a short stay/stop over.

Compact site. We arrived when the Office was closed. There was a clear notice to select a pitch and someone would come around later. We got a great pitch at the back of the toilet / shower / washing block. Not overlooked and a lovely view down the river where we regularly saw a Kingfisher on its travels! Vouecourt is a lovely village with no shops. We did a couple of nice walks and basically chilled out. Very good value for money.

A very pretty site nestleing beside a river and canal. We arrived at lunchtime and chose a pitch, in the evening a lady came to collect the Fee; she was very friendly but spoke no English so we had to manage with our pidgeon French. There is no shop but a local baker arrives in the morning with bread. When we stayed there was no Toilet/Shower block which is being built atr the moment (July 2013), and we had to use a portable, plumbed facility, which I must admit were clean and functional. Overall we enjoyed our overnight stay, and would use the site again.

We arrived during the afternoon, at this time the owners/staff are not on site, so we proceeded on to the site to find our pitch, which had been reserved for us. We had a lovely large plot next to the river and close to the wash/toilet block. There are no shops or bars in the village, so I would advise that you take basic supplies with you to the site (which we did). The nearest shop is only a few km away by car. The site is near the canal which offers lovely walks/cycle routes. We were the only family on the site, but despite this, there children were happy enough as there was a climbing frame for them to use and the other campers who were all older adults, seemed to take pleasure in having the children around. The owner came to welcome us and introduce himself on the second day, and the staff went out of their way to assist us when we could not collect to the electricity supply. The lady who collects the camping fees in the evening spoke little english, but this was not a problem for us as we knew a little french. Overall we were more than happy with this site, it was clean and friendly but on the downside lacked a small shop near by. I would say that the site may benefit from having some sort of map or info sheet in English, located in the info building at the front of the site, as this would be of use for people wanting to know where the shop/petrol was.

Pretty place, near to church bells, fresh bread delivered daily, playground for kids and a free wifi.

J'ai pu passer une nuit en cyclocamping, camping propre et très bon accueil. Il faut miser sur le cyclotourisme dans le coin c'est superbe !

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil et les abords du camping magnifiques. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Camping top à tout point de vue, propreté, accueil, emplacement etc …Nous reviendrons.

L'emplacement de ce camping en bordure de la Marne et en plein centre du village est judicieux. On y est très au calme et entouré de verdure, idéal pour le repos et le dépaysement. L'équipement est celui d'un camping deux étoiles, mais le minimum y est, et tout est très propre et entretenu. Enfin l'accueil est assuré par deux jeunes filles très souriantes qui ajoutent encore une touche au caractère agréable et reposant du camping.

Camping très agréable, accueil, disponibilité et gentillesse de monsieur le maire et de son épouse, toujours à l'écoute - De ses campeurs. Sanitaires neufs et très propres. Bref camping à recommander pour le calme et le bien-être et le charme du village.

Nous avons aimé l accueil et la serviabilite9 de la gérante. Manque une aire de vidange eaux grises - Espace individuel un peu juste.

L'accueil, le service, l'entretien… tout nous a plu.

Ce département mérite le détour et le camping est tout à son image

Petit camping familial et convivial, reposant et le paradis des pêcheurs sur ce bord de Marne. Séjour très agréable avec de beaux emplacements et des sanitaires neufs et très bien entretenus. De plus, la gérante et la commune participent au bien être de leurs campeurs et organisent des visites ou des repas... Adresse à retenir.

Camping que je fréquente fréquemment depuis 40 ans (avec les parents), tout d'abord comme camping étape pour descendre dans le sud, mais aussi pour y passer mes vacances étant amateur de pêche, de vieilles pierres et de douceur de vivre ! Gérante accueillante ainsi que Mr le Maire toujours à l'écoute de ses campeurs. Sanitaires neufs et nettoyés régulièrement.

Apres 33 ans nous sommes revenu dans la haute marne pour renouer les amitiés avec la famille.

J'aurais aimé me déplacer vers cet endroit, j'ai fais un autre parcours, peut-être l'année prochaine, quoi qu'il en soit j'avais eu une personne au téléphone et la communication a été rès courtoise, merci. Cordialement ;

Lieu tranquille, bien ombragé, gens du village sympa, gérante très dévouée et accueillante, Mr le Maire à l'écoute des vacanciers, et disponible pour toutes questions afférentes au camping.
