This is a lovely little campsite. It's peaceful and secluded in the bottom of a valley. There's plenty for kids to do, I think there was even a kids club. It has a nice swimming pool with smart sun loungers, archery (on a specific day), tennis court (although there's a small cost to use this), a playground, table tennis, pool table, there was a petanque tournament one night and there's a bar. The bar sells snack food (chips and burgers), but if you order in advance they do things like whole roast chickens. You can also order bread and croissants for the following day. The owners were friendly although they didn't speak much English, which was fine for us as we prefer to give the language a go and we got by. We went in July and didn't book first, but we were still given a choice of pitches. The pitches are shaded and have hedges around them. We had a tent and so had ample room, but I think there were limited pitches that would suit larger caravans - some certainly would but I'd recommend booking if you have a large outfit. The down side is that it's about a 15-20 minute drive to get to a town or supermarket (the campsite only sells limited items - milk and a few tins). Also, I gave a slightly lower score for the amenities as the showers were of varying temperatures (largely tepid) and the shower cubicles were quite basic - nevertheless they were kept very clean. There was plenty to do in the area (again, nothing within walking distance though) such as mountain bike trails, horseriding, lake kayaking and lovely walks. We had a great stay.
