Events around Saint-Loup-Lamairé

The market is held every Sunday morning.

Every year in June, the city organizes its festival of painting and sculpture with two days of festivities, including a competition and exhibitions.

For the national holiday, on July 14, Saint-Loup-Lamairé organizes a day of celebration with a large hike in the vicinity.

At the end of the year, the city also offers a Christmas market.

• Printemps des Artistes brings together painters and sculptors to present their work on weekends in May and June, organized by the association Les Rendez-Vous de Saint-Loup, at 6 grand rue Théophane Vénard, Saint-Loup-sur-Thouet. This will give you a foretaste of the painting and sculpture festival to be held on Saturday July 6 and Sunday July 7,2024. On May 4 and 5, artist Rebecca DONIS will be exhibiting her work. • As part of the 22nd Ah Festival : "Tarot de la Gâtine Poitevine" by Martine Tarot, Territorial Seer (Cie Midi à L ? ouest). Propos : Martine, clairvoyant of the territories, after having criss-crossed the Gâtine and met its inhabitants, returns to give us an amusing and extralucid portrait. Street theater for all ages, 4:30 p.m., Place des Poulies, Saint-Loup-sur-Thouet. Free admission. Outdoor (may be closed in case of rain). Organized in partnership with Loup'Arts and the commune of Saint-Loup-Lamairé. Numerous events take place on May 4 and 5, as part of the Fête du Fouin, in Saint-Loup-sur-Thouet.

• The Louparts association is organizing an event at Place des Poulies in Saint-Loup on May 4 and 5, entitled "Faites du fouin". With a scarecrow-making workshop on Saturday from 3 pm to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm. A street performance by compagnie Ah takes place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a guinguette ball at 7 p.m. On Sunday, all day long, garage sale, garden barter, street musicians and street artists of all kinds, as long as they're acoustic… and a live street show at 4 p.m. by the company Les Chevaliers de l'Industrie. Come to Place des Poulies and meet the local associations, all in a friendly atmosphere. It's an opportunity to meet up, exchange ideas and share good times together. Free admission. Open to all.
