The Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe takes place every year in the first weekend of October. This prestigious race sponsored by Qatar Petroleum is one of the most important equestrian events in France. It is also an opportunity for guests to show off their most elegant outfits, with celebrities coming from all over the world to attend the famous galloping event.
The event usually takes place at Longchamp but has also been held at Chantilly racecourse, which is known for the length of its track (2,400 km). The world's best thoroughbreds, at least three years old, and the most qualified jockeys gather together to compete in this sporting event. To celebrate the glamour and chic of the event, a "Most Beautiful Duos" competition is organised, with an award given to the most elegant duo (prizes include a trip to Qatar and Longines watches). The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe draws over 60,000 spectators.
