Paris Book Fair is one of Europe’s most important cultural events. On a surface area of 55,000 m² at the Exhibitions Park in Porte de Versailles, each year in the spring, it welcomes 1,200 publishers and 2,000 authors from 37 countries, and offers 500 meetings and 4,000 signings. The fair’s visitors can discover all the French and international publishing houses have to offer, with around 500 stands and shared trading counters.
Paris Book Fair also has several events stages: the Authors’ Stage, the Main Stage, the Little Stage and the Digital Stage. Every year, there are five main themes, including a country and a city represented by a delegation of writers, forming a basis for several cycles of conferences. This event therefore offers an eclectic programme of events to the general public, but also offers many platforms for work and exchanges with book professionals, such as booksellers, library workers, distributors, retailers, agents, representatives of the graphics business and even translators and illustrators.
