At the beginning of the festivities not to be missed, the carnival of Montbéliard arrives in April. It is more than 800 costumed festival-goers who invest the streets of the city for colorful parades in a festive atmosphere.
In September, the medieval festival is in full swing. Prepare your best clothes to follow in the footsteps of the past in a convivial and warm atmosphere. Costumes from another era and the words of another time fell on the place where the merchants' shops offer both roasting geese and spectacles of learned dogs.

At the beginning of the summer season, the Festival des Nez Rouges opens the ball. This event, which takes place every other year, welcomes the clowns who then invest the streets of the city for a wave of good humor.

At Christmas, Montbéliard becomes truly unique. The city hosts a splendid Christmas market, one of the most beautiful in France, but also adorned with multiple lights. The whole city is lit up in a magical enchantment while Santa Claus arrives. Each year, the illuminations are different which makes it its particularity. The Christmas market is also the occasion to see the Diairi, this folk group of Montbéliard.
In June, the flea market of the Miches park opens its doors. There are more than 200 exhibitors spread over 1,400 meters waiting for you.
