If the city of Lessay is not huge, it still offers no less than several famous events throughout the region and the rest of the country.
Every Tuesday morning, every week of the year, a food market takes place in the center of Lessay, from 7:30 to 13h.
Founded in the eleventh century by Benedictine monks, the Holy Cross Fair Lessay runs for several centuries, the second weekend in September. Second fair of its kind in France, it welcomes more than 1500 exhibitors over three days and a funfair discovered by nearly 400,000 visitors each year. This is one of the most important events in Normandy, with various agricultural shows and other events of all kinds.
Every July and August, the abbey hosts musical Lessay hours since 1993. This international music event is fully focused on sacred music and offers various concerts of world famous artists. In an idyllic and solemn setting, this popular event features high-quality shows.

- The Lessay Rallycross event in the Manche department will once again be the first round of the 2024 French Cup championship season. This is an international sporting event. It's a must for drivers and enthusiasts alike. More than 120 drivers and 5,000 spectators will gather in Lessay over the weekend of April 27 and 28. The 3rd round of the event takes place at night on Saturday.

- Petite Foire de printemps Sainte-Opportune in Lessay. - Little sister of September's Sainte-Croix, this fair features a large unpacking aisle, a garage sale, local producers, the famous "allée des rôtisseurs", a funfair open from Saturday afternoon, and exhibits (wine, housing, vehicles…) - This fair, which marks the start of spring, welcomes 10,000 visitors and over 200 exhibitors.
