- "It was time for me to return to my gypsy roots, to immerse myself in the strength of the Catalan compas and its palmas, to rediscover the unique, burning voice of Roberto Soadna." - Titi Robin and Roberto Soadno began collaborating following the release of the album "Gitans" (1993), in which the Angevin artist invited members of the Soadna family, musicians from Perpignan's Saint Jacques gypsy quarter and renowned specialists in Catalan rumba. Titi would later regularly welcome this guitarist and singer steeped in a strong Mediterranean culture for his other recording projects, from "Un ciel de cuivre" to "Kali Gadgi". They are joined in this quartet by Francis Varis on accordion and Ze Louis Nascimento on percussion.
