Founded in 1973, The Great Bulwark is an international nautical fair taking place at the Minimes Harbour in La Rochelle. Over 800 international exhibitors meet in an exhibition area of 100,000 m². Hundreds of boats are displayed on the water and many more are exhibited in the showroom. Due to the varied and multi-disciplinary nature of the fair, many small boat companies choose The Great Bulwark as their annual fair. Each year, a seafaring country or region is the guest of honour.
There are also themed areas for all the visitors. As a major event for all boat fans, The Great Bulwark offers a unique opportunity to try out sea boats before buying them. The Great Bulwark is one of the biggest international floating nautical fairs.
