Things to see and do

The historical heritage of Zonza is remarkable. The two Genoese towers built to defend the coastline date from the 16th century. You will be able to see the square tower of Pinarello dating from the sixteenth century installed on the island of Pinarellu and the tower of Fautea overlooking the beaches and also dating from the sixteenth century. Continuing the tour, you will be able to admire the neo-Gothic parish church at the sculptured door, as well as the Santa Barbara chapel located further south of the town. During your visit you can also see the ruins of the medieval chapel of San Césario and that of the church of San Martino. Best kept, the chapels of Pinarello, Carabona and the Col de Bavella await you wisely. During your walk you will cross the road to the Saint Antoine de Padua oratory and many family tombs. The mills, bread ovens and oratories, which pigmented the landscape like so many vestiges of the past, are scattered throughout the mountain landscape.

Between the sea and the mountains, there is plenty of leisure. In the mountains, you will have at your service a multitude of guides ready to take you on the marked out paths to make you discover the most beautiful points of view of the town. In hiking or mountain biking, the circuits are not lacking to make you discover the natural secrets of this part of the island of beauty. You can also go canyoning for a white water holiday or climbing among others. And if you have not had enough thrills in the mountains, the tree-climbing A Tyroliana, open from early April to early November, awaits you.

Fancy a cruise to the Lavezzi Islands? This is possible with the Ruscana. On the menu, magnificent landscapes and a bouillabaisse to enjoy the walk.

All the water sports are on the agenda of your holiday: windsurfing, kitesurfing, paddle, scuba diving... You will be spoiled for choice. And to catch your breath, the white sandy beaches await your towel. You can also schedule a horse riding along the coast or play a game of mini golf.

And to finish your tour of Zonza, a small visit to local producers is required. Sun vegetables and local wines are offered to fill your basket.
