The elevated position of the Horn platform allows to see the plain of Alsace in depth. One can also observe wild orchids of the site.
It was by the generosity of the Klotz family that the statue of the Sacred Heart (or statue of the Horn) was placed on the limestone cliff of the Horn. At the time when we were only talking about war, the words of peace of Christ were engraved on the pedestal. On July 21, 1912, the symbol of peace desired by the population was inaugurated and the statue was purposely oriented towards the fort of Mutzig.
The statue of the Horn was completely renovated in 2012.
