Things to see and do

The priory of Vivoin was founded in the eleventh century, before being rebuilt two centuries later. Possessing an architecture inspired by Romanesque, Gothic or Renaissance styles, the building has been renovated by the Sarthe General Council, which uses it partly for its cultural center. A part of the priory now houses a museum of the life of old, tracing the arts and popular traditions of the region through various collections.

Do not miss to admire the church of Saint-Hippolyte also built in the 11th century and reworked during the 15th. Here you will find a Romanesque door dating back to the 12th century.

Very old, the Coq Hardi inn is also one of the tourist emblems of the village of Vivoin.

Classified as Historic Monuments, the Mirebeau manor house dates back to the mid-14th century. Today, there remains only the main building with a roof in flat tiles. Upstairs, it is possible to discover a room entirely in painted decoration.
