Vitrac is a small town of about 900 residents. In the heart of Black Perigord, it is at the epicenter of the biggest attractions of the area: Les Eyzies, Lascaux, Castelnaud, Bergerac, Monpazier...

Located between Sarlat and Domme, two of the most beautiful villages in the region, Vitrac consists of a "port", a "village", and Montfort hamlet recently renovated to the delight of visitors and its inhabitants ! Things to see and do

In Vitrac "Bourg", you can discover the Saint-Martin church inscribed in the historical monuments in 1925 and "L'école Buissonière", a former school transformed into an art gallery and café.

At Vitrac "Port", on the other side of the river, taking the bridge, you will discover several bases of canoe and a small beach in pebbles to take advantage of the warmth of the summer and the coolness of the Dordogne, The purity of its water.

Events and festivities

Vitrac is a small town but which brings together a large number of associations making the life of the village to the delight of its inhabitants and visitors!

In May and June, two flea markets are organized, one in the village and the other in Montfort; It is time to hunt furniture and elements of Perigord decoration, style "Castle", marquetries and tapestries.

At the end of June, during a whole day, an animation around the sport is proposed to the children of the village and the surroundings; The practice of various sports ranging from climbing to caving, but also quad, paintball and rugby or football. It is the Bandas of the region that puts the atmosphere throughout the afternoon, lunch and dinner are proposed, to end on a dancing evening and fireworks at midnight! An appointment that no Vitracois is missing!

In July, a large picnic is organized on the site of La Roche Percée bringing together locals and tourists for a very convivial summer evening.
