Tourism, holidays & weekends guide in the Aude

At the heart of the Aude, near Narbonne, lies the small town of Vinassan. Set in the massive Clape, it charms with its vineyards, olive and almond trees. From atop the hills of this town of exception, it enjoys a unique view of the Cevennes and the Pyrenees located nearby.

Bourg old, Vinassan however, has experienced a real economic boom in the second half of the twentieth century. This is mainly due to the eagerness of the people to have developed quality vines on the territory of the municipality, instead of infertile swamps.

Popular with wine lovers, the town is at the origin of AOC Languedoc La Clape. History lovers will appreciate the few historical remains of Vinassan, before going on a walk in the heart of the vineyards.
