Bourg du Nord, in the Hauts-de-France, Villers-Outréaux takes place at a hundred kilometers from Lille, on the border of the department of Aisne. It is located in the center of a triangle formed by Cambrai, Caudry and Saint-Quentin.
Formerly a dependency of the abbey of Saint-Pierre de Honnecourt, the village of Villers-Outréaux was mainly illustrated in the 19th century through the textile industry. Still considered today as the French capital of embroidery, it currently has 50% of mechanical embroidery trades in the country.
Appreciated for its craftsmanship and for its charm, the small town also attracts visitors to the region by its architectural and historical heritage that bears witness to its great wealth throughout the centuries.
