Between Mediterranean landscapes and the foothills of the Pyrenees, Villerouge-Termenès is located at the entrance to the Hautes-Corbières, on the road to the Cathar Country Castles. Seat of the baylie of Termenès for more than seven centuries, Villerouge-Termenès was the scene in 1321 of the pyre of Bélibaste, the last known Cathar Parfait of Languedoc. Decor of medieval shows and banquets in the 1980s and 1990s, Villerouge-Termenès also houses a medieval rotisserie where you can taste some recipes from the Middle Ages in a 14th century setting.
