The municipal museum of Villandraut presents its collections in the Braneyre house, one of the oldest buildings in the town. Dating from 1753, this very well preserved house is rectangular in plan; its storefront is characteristic of the Bazadais habitat.
The museum shows local archaeological finds, the reconstruction of a Landes interior from the end of the 19th century and tools of craftsmen of the region. It also offers temporary exhibitions related to the life of the town.
