The home of the Régie is located Verteuil-sur-Charente in the Charente, 6 km south of Ruffec.
It is located near the vast and beautiful castle overlooking the course of the Charente built in the eleventh and twelfth, redesigned in the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries, a time held by the English during the Hundred Years War but whose owners were the Dukes of La Rochefoucauld (including the famous author of "Maxims").
The home of the board is none other than the former residence of the Steward of the castle where many kings of France stayed passage in the region.
Carefully restored by its owner, the house dates from the sixteenth century now houses a wine cellar with a selection of quality wines.
The owner also organizes guided tours of the castle park and the village.
