The Angers exhibition center is located north of the city, in the territory of the municipality of Verrières-en-Anjou, near major roads.
It opened in 1985, built on a vast area of 40 hectares with parking lots, a site previously occupied by a hypermarket.
Designed to accommodate trade shows, live entertainment, leisure and entertainment trade show, it features only a floor area of holding 30 000 sqm which can be modulated in different halls, an auditorium Type "zenith" can gather from 900 to 3700 spectators, a center dedicated to the meetings and, finally, with the Ardésia room, a separate additional hall of 4,000 m².
Considered one of the largest of the "Great West", the Angers exhibition center is run by a kind of society SPL (public capital company managing services within communities) who has also charged the Congress Palace located in the city center.
