Located at Vaujany, in Isère, in the heart of Oisans and on the shores of Lake Verney, the museum of hydroelectric industries is a unique site in France. Opened by EDF and labeled Musée de France, it traces the history of electricity production by dams, revealing in particular authentic industrial machines, collectibles and multimedia terminals.
On more than 1000 m² of spaces dedicated to hydroelectricity, visitors can enjoy a modern scenography as well as an impressive viewpoint on Grand'Maison, the most powerful hydroelectric power station in France.
Temporary thematic exhibitions are also regularly organized there, as are activities for the youngest.
