Located seven kilometers west of Paris, Vaucresson commune is located in Île-de-France, in the department of Hauts-de-Seine. This green city, with his twenty-two hectares classified natural area, sits halfway between Versailles and Saint-Cloud. Called Valle Crisonis during the twelfth century, the city of Vaucresson began to develop under the guidance of Abbot Suger, reformer of the abbey of Saint-Denis and adviser to King Louis VI. The town Ile is also known for having hosted, in the eighteenth century, landing the first balloon flight with animals.

Old city rich in history, Vaucresson has an interesting architectural heritage and many classified or listed monuments.
Built in the mid-twelfth century according to the wishes of the Abbot Suger, St. Dionysius church was rebuilt several times. The current building dates from 1964 and has kept some old elements like the original bell tower and the baptismal font in red marble.
Also called the Terraces, Villa Stein was built in the 1920s by Le Corbusier. Its facades and roofs were listed historical monument. In a typical purist style of the architect at the time, the building reveals a beautiful blend of glass and concrete. It also reveals interesting terraced staircase.
Built in 1908, the St. Helena chapel has a beautiful mosaic wall and a Byzantine fresco of the famous St. Helen.
Replica of Mount Vernon, George Washington's residence was built in 1930 on the occasion of a colonial exhibition in Paris. She was then transported to the heart of Vaucresson.
Walking through the town, visitors can discover the castle Vaucresson brick and stone, built in the mid-nineteenth century, the House the-old-church with its original gargoyles, the villa Besnus on plans by Le Corbusier, or yet the Edelweiss villa in Art Deco style.
Green spaces abound in the town of Vaucresson on the lines of the square of the Balloon, or the square of the Great Farms.

Vaucresson Fest moved every year in June, including a garage sale, a festival of sport and entertainment of all kinds for all ages, around the green areas of the city.
