Tuchan

Listed as a Historic Monument, Notre-Dame-de-Faste Church stands on Mount Tauch and offers a fine example of typical architecture of the region.

The Hotel des Postes is also a building registered with the Historical Monuments. It is an old mansion also classified as heritage of the twentieth century, for its architectural style and aesthetics.

Today in ruins, the fort of Aguilar is now classified as an historic monument. Former castle said Cathar, it dates, according to estimates, the twelfth century. Royal fortress in the 13th century, it was conquered by Charles V in the first half of the 16th century. The building is part of the Five Sons of Carcassonne, with Quéribus, Puilaurens, Termes and Peyrepertuse, and served as a backdrop for the television series, Tramontane, in the late 1990s. Located nearly 100 meters high, on a hill, the old castle is composed of two enclosures. There is still a chapel Sainte-Anne and some other vestiges full of interest.

Several marked hiking trails for pedestrians, cyclists or riders, to appreciate the local flora and fauna, as well as the monuments present. The village also has a paragliding runway with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and the plain.

• In July, place at the Wine Festival, with its tastings, its market of local producers, its ball, its animations and its visit of cellar cooperative.
• Medieval activities are offered at the castle between July and September, with introductions to archery and sword, shows or even animated tours.
• The local festival takes place on the second weekend of August.

• The Cathar castles of Quéribus (Cucugnan) and Peyrepertuse (Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse) are very close.
• The Museum of Prehistory of Tautavel 20 minutes.
• Superb corner of rivers in the surroundings where you can refresh yourself.
• Do not forget to visit the gorges of Galamus.
• The African Reserve located at Sigean at 35 km.
