Villesavin Castle is a Renaissance castle near Chambord, the interior reveals an elegant furnishings, including a backgammon (famous board game of the seventeenth-eighteenth century) on display in the games room.

Florentine artisans and French Chambord have contributed to the refinement of the decor decorated Villesavin, especially the pediments and dormers as well as the murals of the chapel.

Built in the sixteenth century for Jean le Breton, lord of Villandry and Finance Secretary Francis I, an important figure who oversaw the work of Chambord, this beautiful Renaissance castle announces the classical style with the harmony and symmetry of the facades.

You will also find a dovecote (symbol of power in the Renaissance) and a white Carrara marble basin of the sixteenth century installed today in the courtyard as well as museums such as "The Wedding Treasures" and " The Horse-drawn Cars "and finally the collection of objects and furniture inside the castle.

In this castle, also saw a ghost. Thanks to a marked trail in the woods and fitted with a roadmap apprentices detectives will solve puzzles to find the famous ghost!

And for larger, a road-book (more adapted to adolescent) meets their curiosity about architecture, heritage and history!

Hours: 1 March to 31 May, from 10am to 12pm and from 14h to 19h (in March, closed on Thursdays). From 1 June to 30 September, from 10h to 19h. From October 1 to November 15, from 10am to 12pm and from 14h to 18h (in November, closed on Thursdays).

Annual closing: From November 15 to March 1.
