The former Saint-Rome is a building at No. 3 Chalande the street, Toulouse, near the Rue Saint-Rome, in the historic center of the city.
This is a huge building built in the sixteenth century, including three levels, overlooking a courtyard, whose architecture evokes the Italian palaces.
He sheltered from the early seventeenth century college (called Saint-Rome) led by religious, the Christian Doctrine Fathers, whose purpose was precisely education. The front door and the front of the court building are protected as historical monuments, but overall, although still in character, has undergone revisions.
We still notice a few items of interest such as the door lintel lowered flat, flanked by pilasters supporting a cornice.
The building is now private and home to shops and homes.
Note the facade on the occasion of a walk in the neighborhood near the Capitol. Information 0892 January 18, 80.
