Located Valade street in the heart of Toulouse, the Charterhouse of Toulouse is still visible today with its Saint-Pierre des Chartreux church listed building. The building, built in the early seventeenth century, mainly in Baroque style.
Transformed into arsenal after the French Revolution, the monastery has almost completely disappeared today, it now remains only the church, the old pharmacy, some elements of the hotel and part of the cloister.
It is possible to admire inside the church sixty stalls carved wood of the seventeenth century, and a beautiful high altar in Pyrenean marble decorated with a sculpture representing Francis Lucas Angels crowning the Blessed Sacrament.
Full of charm, the former cloister is now green space Toulouse University 1 Capitole.
