Tinqueux is an important town of the Marne. Member of the Reims Métropole urban community, it borders, including Reims Bezannes and Thillois.
According to archaeological excavations, Tinqueux had traces of human occupation since the Neolithic. But it was during the Middle Ages that the city has really developed. Dynamic and rich in cultural events, Tinqueux has still some beautiful historical and architectural sites. The city is also part of two of the Champagne Tourist Routes proposed by the departmental committee of tourism of the Marne.
