Small village staggered around a hill, on the border of Uzège, Tharaux proudly shows its houses built traditionally in stone and the vestiges of its medieval past.
Perched on its rocky peak, Tharaux has preserved its character as a protected site, the detours of its pedestrian streets, cool and shady.
The village offers an exceptional panorama on the entrance of the gorges of the Cèze. You will also be able by footpaths starting from the village to discover the typical and changing vegetation which shelters a particularly rich and partially protected flora and fauna. They will lead you through shady coves to the Gorge of the Cèze... Throughout these trails, you will encounter avens, caves, dolmens, clapas, mas... and you can admire the many panoramas that are available on the Cevennes, the Alps, the Tanargue.
