Museum of art and history of the city of Tarbes the Massey museum reopened its doors in 2012 in a new space of over 1,000 m². Born of the will of the botanist Placide Massey, who gave it its name, the site takes place in the property of the man of science in the nineteenth century.
On site, you can find several types of collections like hussars with mannequins, busts, weapons or paintings, the fine arts including major works by Utrillo, Pellegrini or Daubigny or the arts and popular traditions Bigorre four valleys. The latter consists of an ethnographic collection of pastoral life and archaeological funds.
Thematic exhibitions are regularly on the premises, as well as guided tours or workshops of all types.
