Regional Nature Park of Millevaches in Limousin.
The name of Soudeilles is obscure, but the first mention (Sodellias) date from the late 12th century.
The Romanesque church of Saint-Martin and Saint-Blaise (Cl MH 1917), was enlarged and modified in the 14th century. Today parish church, it was long chapel. It has a beautiful granite masonry. His plan has a single ship and a semicircular apse, capitals historical novels and foliage. The side chapel contains a remarkable limestone tomb in enfeu (C MH), in the form of lying. The west door is of a Limousin. The two bays tower wall was rebuilt during the restorations of the 19th century. The church has a beautiful liturgical furniture (seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries), a beautiful Lady of Mercy (sculpture, 1500). Wealth of jewelry and enamel limousine which are kept the reliquary bust of St. Martin in the original party (around 1325) with a beautiful processional cross (circa 1300), a remarkable Incense (around 1200 ).
The rectory dates from 1657 and was built in place of the castle destroyed by fire.
The village and its surroundings have three beautiful mills (1800) and a pretty well the 17th century. The houses, mostly farms (with barn, stable, bread ovens, sinks, barn, etc.. 1650 to 1900), present a picturesque architecture with roofs of slate or thatch based on beautiful stone masonry. The cemetery contains a monumental cross (circa 1700).
