Located in Sigean, in the Aude, the Corbières museum offers a beautiful panorama of the history of the Corbières from prehistory to the nineteenth century. Member of the Occitanie Museum network, he unveils on his ground floor collections on Prehistory, from Mousterian to the Bronze Age.
On the first floor, place to archaeological collections discovered in the oppidum of Pech Maho essentially. It is also possible to enjoy collections on the Gallo-Roman era, or on the High Middle Ages. The exhibition "The Corbières: border or passage?" also traces the history of places in the late Middle Ages and modern times, while the museum ends its visit on trades related to local resources such as salt, fishing or vineyards.
Thematic temporary exhibitions are also regularly offered.
