Green resort of Holidays, between lakes and mountains, Neuvéglise is a tourist village having preserved its rural character. Located 950 meters above sea level, on the Planèze, a volcanic plateau of Cantal, southeast of the Auvergne region, the municipality of Neuvéglise offers many activities thanks to the diversity of its natural environment.
The name "Néa Gleysa" (New Church) appears in writings of the ninth century.
Since 2017, Neuvéglise has grown to become Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère and now integrates Lavastrie, Sériers and Oradour.
