Small town of Tarn-et-Garonne, in the Occitanie region, Septfonds takes place about thirty kilometers from Montauban, on the banks of the Lère, a tributary of the Aveyron. It is located between Caussade and Caylus, not far from Puylaroque and Montricoux.
Ancient, the city of Septfonds was illustrated in the 18th century with the hat industry, and more particularly the manufacture of straw hats which still persisted in the late 1990s.
Known for Having hosted a Spanish refugee camp transformed into a detention camp for Jews during World War II, the city is now home to places of memory linked to these tragic events.
