Seppois-le-Bas is a town of nearly 1,300 inhabitants located in historic Alsace. Located in the department of Haut-Rhin, it takes place in the arrondissement of Altkirch, thirty kilometers from Mulhouse and about forty kilometers from Basel and Switzerland.
Peoplé from the time of the Celts, the borough of Seppois-le-Bas became a municipality in full during the XIIth century. It was completely destroyed during the Thirty Years War in the 17th century, but it experienced a real economic renaissance at the beginning of the 20th century with the creation of several fairs of great renown.
If Seppois-le-Bas does not have very ancient monuments, the town nevertheless presents a real tourist attraction linked to its traditional charm and its ideal geographical location to discover this part of France and Switzerland.
